 SERVICE LEARNING

“Morgan Academy is a kindergarten through twelfth grade, coeducational independent school. The Academy promotes: academic excellence, development of creative and athletic talents, and social growth and responsibility.“   ..... Morgan Academy Mission Statement

In every grade level, students are taught to think of others before themselves. We see examples of this lesson taking hold everywhere. In Kindergarten, students bring pet food for the local shelter instead of a gift exchange at Christmas.  In Upper School, a Junior has co-founded a mission to provide shoes for those in need in Nicaragua -6,000 pairs and counting!  Our faculty seek to encourage students’ social growth, responsibility, and lifelong commitment to community. Beginning in 10th grade, students begin individual and group volunteer projects in our local, state, and global communities.
